Cinema Paradiso: The start of my cinematographic journey

Today I begin my blogging journey, the same way I started my cinematographic journey 4 years ago: curious and excited about the new world I am about to encounter. Throughout my entire childhood, I was praised and tagged, in my family and between my friends, as the creative one. I loved narrating stories and anecdotes that amused those who surrounded me, but I truly had only one passion in my life: football. As I grew older, I realized I wouldn't be able to make it as a professional player, so I began looking for another captivating chapter in my life. I began thinking about my career and my future but faced a dead end at every corner. It all changed when I turned 14. I faced the challenge of moving to the Dominican Republic. As I arrived at this beautiful Caribbean island, I experienced a clash of cultures and discovered a chaotic, free, and creative aspect of my personality. Throughout this change in personality, I came across Cinema Paradiso, the 1998 movie directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. I instantly fell in love with the art of cinema. I became obsessed with the scores, the storytelling, the acting, the direction, and most of all, the power of influence that movies had. I began a quest to find the best movies of all time. After extensive research on lists such as IMBd Top 250 or Rotten Tomatoes Top 100, I decided to create my own ranking. I created a watchlist of around 1400 movies, from which I had to choose 75 to complete my list. I also combined both of my passions and created a Youtube channel, where I posted videos about football. Four years later, my Youtube channel has 35,000 subscribers and around 8 million views. As for the list, I am now a few movies away from finally completing it. I am now starting my university life at Universidad de Navarra, beginning to write my first movie screenplays, and still pursuing my dream of one day becoming a famous director and watching my stories come to life on the big screen. Storytelling is the most potent form of communication. It makes us laugh and cry, changes our views of the world, shapes our personalities, and defines us as humans. Because I believe that no form of storytelling is as powerful as film, I decided to be part of this industry.

I've seen sooo many of these!! You have really good taste. I also totally relate to the struggle of finding a new career path after being set on one for a long time.
